Louis J Appignani is a graduate of Columbia University (MS), CIty College of New York (BBA), and also worked on his Doctorate in Economics at Indiana University, at which time he was appointed Lecturer in Economics at Marian College in Indianapolis. He also served two years as an Infantry 1st Lieutenant in Korea.

His employment was primarily as a Management Consultant with 3 international consulting firms; Booz Allen and Hamilton, Price Waterhouse, and Coopers and Lybrand. His assignments included designing and programming computer systems, mergers and acquisitions, corporate re-organizations, cost controls, etc.

In 1965 he started Computer Education, Inc. and within 3 years, launched 5 computer programing schools in New York State and Pennsylvania and had a high profile public company. He then acquired the Barbizon Modeling School and Agency in New York CIty, sold the Computer Schools, and launched a successful international franchise company which he ran for 30 years. In more recent years he started acquiring office buildings in Palm Beach County, Florida, sold the 65 franchised and company owned Barbizon schools, and his present company Louja Realty Inc., now owns and manages 9 office properties in South Florida.
